Bogor DPRD Submits Demand for Criminal Procedure Code Amendments to the National Parliament
BOGOR - Since mid-2025, the Bogor City DPRD has accommodated various aspirations from all levels of the people of Bogor City. To ensure that the vote was heard by the central government, Deputy Chair I of the Bogor City DPRD, M. Rusli Prihatentvy and Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD Honorary Board (BK), Safrudin Bima, continued the public's demands to the DPR-RI.
The aspirations of the people of Bogor City were received directly by members of Commission V DPR-RI from the Golkar faction, H. Daniel Syafyuddin at the Nusantara I building, Jakarta.
Rusli explained that one of the demands submitted to the Indonesian House of Representatives was the aspiration of students who were members of the Bogor Pakuan University Student Executive Board who demanded changes to the Criminal Procedure Code which had just been ratified.
"So our task today is to convey the aspirations of the people and we thank Mr. Daniel who wants to accommodate the voices of the people of Bogor City," said Rusli, in his statement, Thursday, December 11.
At the same location, Safrudin ensured that the Bogor City DPRD would continue to be committed to carrying out its mandate as a representative of the people, where every vote and demand submitted by the people of Bogor City can be followed up and forwarded to the central government.
"The Bogor City DPRD is committed that every aspiration will not be scattered on the road or only stored at the meeting table. We will voice the demands to the parties involved. We as representatives of the people will continue to listen to the voices of the people," said Safrudin.
Responding to the aspirations of the residents of Bogor City, Daniel revealed that Commission V of the DPR RI will follow up with objective considerations. He also emphasized that Commission V of the DPR RI will proportionately oversee this aspiration, ensuring that any public criticism regarding the issue of meaningful participation, potential abuse of authority, as well as articles deemed problematic, can be a concern in the process of revamping regulations.
"Commission V DPR RI expresses its appreciation for the aspirations that have been conveyed by Bogor City students and DPRD, and affirms that every input from the public is an important part of the democratic process and supervision of national policies," concluded Daniel.
