BNPB Builds Integrated Refugee Points For Each District In Aceh

JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) plans to build integrated evacuation points in each sub-district to facilitate the basic services of flood-disaster refugees in Aceh Province.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Information and Communication Data Center Abdul Muhari said the integrated evacuation development was to reduce the spread of evacuation points, thereby facilitating basic services for disaster victims refugees.

"BNPB will build an integrated evacuation point. The integrated evacuation point is placed in every sub-district, where later the refugees will receive basic services," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 11.

He said integrated evacuation continues to attract victims who are now displaced separately and placed in one place that has integrated services.

Abdul Muhari said the integrated services included public kitchens, health, case washing baths (MCK), trauma or psychosocial recovery, schools for children, and others.

According to him, the number of integrated refugee points depends on the number of refugees in each of these sub-districts. The number of integrated refugees can be five to 10 locations.

"This integrated repatriation so that there is temporary shelter. This integrated refugee is to bring disaster victims closer to basic services, so they get all basic needs," he said.

Abdul Muhari said that of the 18 regencies and cities affected by floods and landslides at the end of 2025, there were 13 regencies and cities with separate evacuation points. The total evacuation was spread over 2,186 points.

"This refugee point is still separated. Therefore, the separated evacuation needs to be embraced in a centralized place, so that basic services provided can be optimized," he said.
