SEA Games 2025: Indonesian Women's Volleyball National Team Advances To Semifinals
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's Volleyball national team managed to ensure a place in the semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games after defeating Myanmar with a final score of 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, and 25-12).
The two teams met in the Group B phase which took place at the Huamark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, afternoon WIB.
With this victory over Myanmar, the Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team managed to lock up the top two positions in Group B, which are also inhabited by Vietnam and Malaysia, with a collection of six points from two matches.
Despite winning all the group stage matches, Indonesia is still below Vietnam which is at the top of the standings. Currently Vietnam has the same points and the same number of matches as Indonesia, but they are ahead of the set point ratio.

However, Indonesia's position is also safe because Myanmar will not be overtaken by third and Malaysian ranks in fourth place.
The Indonesian Women's Volleyball national team also has the opportunity to win Group B if they manage to beat Vietnam in the final group stage match on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Indonesia's final position in Group B will also determine the opponents to be faced in the semifinals on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
If the Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team manages to win Group B, then Marcos Sugiyama's squad has the potential to avoid Thailand, the defending champion of the women's volleyball SEA Games.
