Agam's Condolences Are Getting Deeper, BPBD Records 190 Deaths, 25 Unidentified
LUBUK BASUNG Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Agam Regency, West Sumatra, reported that the number of victims who died due to hydrometeorological disasters in the area increased to 190 people.
"This is data on Wednesday night. Previously, there were 188 people who died," said the Head of BPBD Agam, Rahmat Lasmono, in Lubuk Basung, Antara, Thursday, December 11.
He detailed that the death toll was spread in Malalak District as many as 14 people, Tanjung Raya District 10 people, Palupuh District one person, Matur District one person, and Palembayan District 138 people.
Sementara itu, 72 korban masih belum ditemukan, yang tersebar di Kecamatan Malalak (3 orang), Kecamatan Tanjung Raya (2 orang), Kecamatan Palembayan (66 orang), dan Kecamatan Lubuk Basung (1 orang). Dari total korban meninggal, sebanyak 25 orang belum teridentifikasi oleh kepolisian.
Rahmat explained that the search for missing victims was continued today by a joint team from BPBD Agam, TNI, Polri, Basarnas, PMI, volunteers, and other elements. "The search for victims using heavy equipment because they are suspected of being buried by flash flood materials in the form of land and trees," he said.
In addition to the fatalities, 13 people are still undergoing treatment, while 4,117 people have been displaced and 988 people have been affected or isolated.
The damage to infrastructure and public facilities is also quite extensive, covering 493 houses with minor damage, 359 houses moderately damaged, 600 houses heavily damaged, 11 places of worship affected, 67 bridges damaged, and 49 road points damaged.

Selain itu, 99 unit fasilitas pendidikan, 125 unit irigasi, 16 bendungan, 5.025 ekor ternak, serta 1.813,70 hektare lahan pertanian turut terdampak. Total kerugian akibat banjir bandang, banjir, tanah longsor, dan angin puting beliung di Agam mencapai Rp682,35 miliar.
