JAKARTA - The government officially provides economic packages in the form of toll tariff discounts of 10 percent to 20 percent during the 2025 Christmas Holidays and 2026 New Year.

The stimulus package was given to encourage the growth rate of the national economy.

Citing information shared by the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU), there are at least nine Trans Java Toll Road sections that will impose tariff discounts during that period.

"To ease community mobility, BPJT together with toll road business entities present a 10-20 percent toll rate discount on several sections during the Nataru 2025/2026 period," explained BPJT in its official Instagram account @pupr_bjt, quoted Wednesday, December 10.

The provision of tariff discounts applies to all groups of vehicles traveling long distances at certain times.

In the information attached, the tariff discount will take effect on December 22, December 23, and December 31, 2025.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti said eight Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) or operators would provide discounts on the tariff on 26 toll roads during the 2025/2026 Nataru holiday.

However, the time for the discount is different.

"In general, the provisions for this toll rate cut are applied for the furthest, barrier to barrier rates, using the electronic money payment method. Discounts do not apply if the balance is not sufficient or the origin of the vehicle destination is not detected," Diana said in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI regarding Infrastructure and Transportation Readiness in the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, December 8.
