Assets Of Tens Of Billions Of Former Pesawaran Regent Suspects Of SPAM Corruption Confiscated

The Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated a number of assets belonging to former Pesawaran Regent Dendi Ramadhona who was caught in a corruption case in the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK) project for Drinking Water and Expansion of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) for Fiscal Year 2022.

"The Lampung Prosecutor's Office investigating team has confiscated a number of assets belonging to the former Pesawaran Regent as an effort to save state finances (asset recovery)," said Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the Lampung Attorney General's Office, Armen Wijaya, in Bandarlampung, Wednesday, December 10.

He said the confiscated assets were the result of searches in several places, namely in the Tanjung Karang Timur sub-district, Tanjung Karang Barat, Rajabasa, Kemiling, Gedong Tataan and Way Lima sub-districts, which are related to criminal acts of corruption.

"From the results of the search, assets that were tracked and confiscated included four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, eight units that were allegedly purchased from the proceeds of crime, with an estimated Rp1 billion," he said.

There was also cash in the form of rupiah and 27 USD 100 denominations in foreign currency with an estimated IDR 2.27 billion, then land and buildings (nominee mode) which de jure registered on behalf of other parties, but de facto controlled by the suspect as many as 26 certificates of property rights (SHM) which reached approximately IDR 41 billion.

"There is also a tasbranded which has a high economic value of 40 pcs with an estimated value of Rp. 80 million," he said.

He said the total estimated value of assets obtained for recovery (asset recovery) of state financial losses in this case was Rp45.27 billion.

"This confiscation action was carried out as a step to recover state financial losses and as a form of commitment from the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office in strict and professional law enforcement to provide a deterrent effect for perpetrators of corruption crimes," he said.

Previously, the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Jajati) had named the former Regent of Pesawaran Dendi Ramadhona as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK) project for Drinking Water and Expansion of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) for the 2022 Fiscal Year.
