Panei Intersection Sinaksak Toll Road Ready To Operate Freely During Nataru Holidays

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) said, the Kuala Tanjung 'High Cliff' Toll Road Parapat (Kupat) Section 4 Dolok Merawan 'Pematang Siantar segment of the Sinaksak' Panei Intersection along 13 kilometers (km) will be operated without tariff.

Citing information shared by PT Hutama Marga Waskita, the operation of the toll road without tariffs was carried out to support smooth mobility ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays.

"There is good news, here, ahead of the Christmas and New Year 2025/2026 period, the 12.55 km Panei Intersection Toll Road is ready to open for free in the near future," wrote the management of Hutama Marga Waskita on its official Instagram account @hmwtollroad, Wednesday, December 10.

With the free opening of the toll road, the company hopes that it can help the community to immediately gather with their families at a special moment at the end of the year.

"Keep driving wisely and obey all traffic rules and signs on toll roads for mutual safety," he appealed.

Previously, Hamawas as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) reported that the Sinaksak Toll Road Feasibility Test (ULF) activity for the Panei Intersection had been carried out for three days, from Monday, November 17 to Wednesday, November 19.

The inspection coverage on the toll road is on the A and B lines KM 131+078 to KM 143+400.

After a series of field tests and visual checks were carried out, discussions were carried out regarding the results of technical examinations from each sub-team at the Plenary Meeting on Examination Results held on Wednesday, November 19.

The activity began with a field review by Sub-Team 1 in the field of technical inspection and operation consisting of elements of road organizers, namely the Ministry of Public Works (PU), elements of traffic transportation and road transportation.

Then, Korlantas Polri by conducting inspections of road signs and markings, level intersections, analysis of traffic impacts and toll road safety, pavement structures, and bridges as well as toll road complement buildings.

Meanwhile, Sub-Team 2 for administrative examination consists of BPJT, Sub-Directorate for Land Procurement JBH and the financial sector, Management of State Property (PBMN) of the Directorate General of Highways carry out operational checks and completeness of administrative documents, such as inspection of toll booths, operational vehicles and inventory of toll road rumja assets.

President Director of PT Hutama Marga Waskita Dindin Solakhuddin explained that the implementation of the ULF is an important stage before the toll road can fully operate.

Melalui kegiatan itu, Hamawas memastikan seluruh aspek mulai dari keamanan, keselamatan hingga kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana telah memenuhi standar manajemen dan keselamatan lalu lintas.

Menurutnya, seluruh rangkaian ULF telah selesai dilaksanakan dan kini pihaknya tengah berupaya untuk evaluasi minor yang terdapat di lapangan.

"Kami optimistis semua proses ini dapat terlewati dengan baik, sehingga Sertifikat Laik Operasi (SLO) dapat segera terbit dan ruas Tol Sinaksak–Simpang Panei dapat segera beroperasi pada momen Nataru 2025/2026 mendatang," ujar dia dalam keterangan resmi, Kamis, 20 November.

Through this activity, Hamawas ensured that all aspects ranging from security, safety to complete facilities and infrastructure had met traffic management and safety standards.

According to him, the entire ULF series has been completed and now his party is trying to evaluate minors in the field.

"We are optimistic that all of this process can be passed well, so that the Operational Eligibility Certificate (SLO) can be issued immediately and the Panei Intersection Sinaksak Toll Road can operate immediately at the moment of Nataru 2025/2026," he said in an official statement, Thursday, November 20.
