News Of Grief From Madiun, 175 People Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Health Office of Madiun, East Java recorded patients who died after being declared positively confirmed COVID-19 in the local area has reached 175 people or 6.81 percent of the total cases as many as 2,571 people.

"As of today there are an additional two cases of death due to COVID-19. In total there have been 175 cases of deaths due to COVID-19 in Madiun," said The Head of The Management Section of Infectious and Non-Communicable Diseases Services at the Health, Population Control, and Kb Office of Madiun Tri Wahyuning Novitasari in Madiun, reported antara, Tuesday, May 25.

According to him, the number of DEATHS of COVID-19 patients in Madiun is still growing. One of the causes, mostly because the patient has a concomitant or comorbid disease.

"Even once in one day there were three deaths. COVID-19 is dangerous, especially if it already has comorbid," he said.

Death, he continued, must of course be dealt with immediately. Funerals of patients dying from COVID-19 have special rules, the officers are also special.

In that particular handling, he said, there was a joint body repatriation team from various agencies to volunteers, however, the number was limited. It is also included, although it does not always come down to the location, because it only acts as the coordinator of the team.

"From the hospital usually call whenever there is a death. Afterwards I coordinated with the team, including in the local village for his funeral," he said.

It asked the citizens of Madiun to be disciplined in implementing health protocols so as not to contract COVID-19. Although the vaccination program has been rolling, health protocols should not be loosened.

Thus, according to him, cases of the spread of COVID-19 in Madiun are still occurring, can be prevented and the number can be suppressed.

According to the data, in Madiun COVID-19 cases until Tuesday, May 25, has reached 2,571 people. Of these, 2,283 have recovered, 38 are in care, 75 are in self-isolation and 175 have died.
