Jason Donovan Wins Gold Swimming SEA Games 2025

JAKARTA Jason Donovan Yusuf managed to get a gold medal from the 2025 Thailand SEA Games swimming sport. It was the fifth gold medal for the Indonesian contingent at the biennial event.

Jason's gold medal was won in the men's 100-meter backstroke. He managed to finish with a record time of 55.08 seconds beating his compatriot, Farrell Armandio Tangkas, who secured the silver medal.

Farrell finished second with a record time of 55.89 seconds to lead Zheng Wen Quah in third place. The swimmer from Singapore recorded a time of 56.04 seconds to bring home the bronze medal from the sports party of these Southeast Asian countries.

The previous four golds for Indonesia were contributed by the sports of taekwondo, kano, petanque, and badminton.

Indonesia's first gold medal was contributed by taekwondo from the men's team possae number. The names of gold winners in that number are Muhammad Alfi Kusuma, Muhammad Hafizh Fachrur Rhozy, and Muhammad Rizal.

The second gold from the canoeing number 500 meters mixed. The squad that competed in the number consisted of Stevani Maysche Ibo, Subhi, Indra Hidayat, and Ramla Baharuddin.

Next, the third gold from the men's singles event petanque was won by Andri Irawan. As for the men's team badminton, Indonesia beat Malaysia to defend the gold medal.
