KPK Arrests Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand arrest operation (OTT) earlier this week. One of the parties arrested in the operation was the Regent of Central Lampung, Ardito Wijaya.

"It's true (there was an arrest of Ardito Wijaya, ed)," said KPK Deputy Chair Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters when confirmed, Wednesday, December 10.

Apart from Ardito, the KPK team also arrested other parties. Based on information received, there were legislators from Central Lampung Province who were also charged.

The OTT is said to be related to the alleged bribery of ratification of the draft budget and regional expenditure income (RAPBD).

Those who have been secured are currently on their way to the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. They will be examined further before their legal status is determined within 1x24 hours.
