BNPB Affirms No Hoarding Of Disaster Logistics Assistance In Aceh
JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) confirmed that there was no hoarding of logistical assistance for flood and landslide disaster victims in Aceh.
"Recording and management of logistics distribution are well-organized at Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base. So for colleagues who happen to be in Aceh Province, please see firsthand that there is no hoarding or no logistical stocks have occurred whose distribution is hampered at Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base," said Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 10.
He conveyed this in a press conference regarding updates on the handling of floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
Muhari explained that all aid that entered Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base was recorded and directly distributed to evacuation points as needed in the field. The government, he said, also opened access for the media to see firsthand the logistics management.
He said that from 28 November to 10 December 2025 at 15.00 WIB, the total logistical assistance that entered Aceh reached 448.6 tons. Of this amount, he said, as many as 334 tons of logistical assistance had been successfully distributed to the refugees, while the rest were still being optimized.
"This is recapitulatively from early November 28 to today December 10 at 15.00 WIB," he said.
To accelerate distribution, the government optimizes logistics distribution through land and air routes.
Especially this Wednesday, the distribution of logistical assistance via land is carried out using five trucks with a total load of 9.85 tons. Meanwhile, air distribution is carried out through seven flight sorties with a total load of 4.93 tons.
Distribution by air is focused on reaching refugee pockets far from the district and city centers, while land routes are used to increase logistics delivery, including non-food needs.
In addition to foodstuffs, the assistance distributed also includes tents, mattresses, blankets, clothes, and other basic equipment needed by refugees.
