Appeal Rejected By PT Jakarta, Former President Director Of Taspen ANS Kosasih Still Sentenced To 10 Years
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) rejected the appeal filed by the former President Director of PT Taspen (Persero), Antonius NS Kosasih, in a fictitious investment corruption case that cost the state finances up to Rp1 trillion.
He was still sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison.
"To try: To declare that the defendant Antonius Nicholas Stephanus Kosasih has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together as in the first indictment of the Public Prosecutor," reported from the PT DKI Jakarta Decision Review page, Wednesday, December 10.
The appeal case number: 60/PID.SUS-TPK/2025/PT DKI was examined and tried by the chairman of the Teguh Harianto assembly with member judges Budi Susilo and Hotma Maya Marbun and Registrar Substitute Bambang Sirajuddin. The verdict was read out on Tuesday, December 9.
Apart from refusing, the panel of judges at the appeal level also changed the decision of the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) Number: 53/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN Jkt Pst dated October 6, 2025. Kosasih is required to pay a substitute sentence and if he does not do so, he will be imprisoned for 5 years.
This decision is heavier because at the first level, he was only sentenced to a subsidiary sentence of 3 years. The details of the replacement money to be paid are IDR 29,152,914,623; 127,057 US dollars; 283,002 Singapore dollars; 10,000 euros; 470 Thai baht; 30.000 yen; 500 Hong Kong dollars, 1.262,000 won, and IDR 2.877,000.
Or if calculated by exchange rate, the total replacement money reaches Rp35 billion.
"Determining the detention period that the defendant has served is deducted entirely from the sentence imposed," said the judge of appeal.
"Determining the defendant remains in custody," he continued.
As for the fictitious investment case, the President Director of PT Insight Investment Management (PT IIM) Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto has been declared inkrah or has permanent legal force.
The Jakarta Corruption Court sentenced Ekiawan to 9 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison. He was also sentenced to pay compensation in the amount of 253,660 US dollars, subsidiary to 2 years in prison.
