KPK Asks Echelon I And II Officials To Become Anti-Corruption Extensioners: To Have Moral Responsibility

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto asked state civil servants (ASN) at echelon I and II levels to become anti-corruption counselors. This method is considered to be able to make them have more moral responsibility towards the people below them.

"My wish, PAKSI (Anti-corruption Extensioner), the extensionist is not from the bottom up but we will return it, yes, the challenge is like that," said Setyo in Yogyakarta, quoted on Wednesday, December 10.

"Yes, maybe officials in echelon II, Echelon I actually become extension workers. Thus, the moral responsibility is higher," he continued.

Setyo asked ASN and employees and the public to dare to maintain their integrity. Do not let the environment erode their courage.

"I'm sure there are still many people who have integrity but sometimes the environment that makes him eliminated, he is marginalized. So I hope that things like that, I hope that employees, ASN, people are brave," he said.

The KPK has just released the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) in 2025. As a result, this year's score has increased to 72.32 from last year's 71.53.

Although it increased, the score was in the vulnerable zone because it meant corruption was still there.

Acting (Plt) Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Aminuddin said SPI was carried out in the period 1 August-31 October 2025. There are 657 ministries, institutions, SOEs, and local governments included in this activity.

"The participation involves various perspectives, ranging from internal agencies, service users, to experts and stakeholders with a total of 837,693 respondents," Aminuddin concluded.
