Spotify Premium Expands Music Video Features In Beta To US And Canada

Thanks to this expansion, there are millions of new Premium subscribers who can access the visual content on Spotify. The music video will feature content in the studio version, live performances, to cover versions of favorite artists.

Although this initial video catalog is still limited, its availability will increase in a short time. Spotify promises the presence of more content in the coming months as the feature develops in the beta stage.

Spotify has tested music videos in nearly 100 other markets in the previous year, including in Indonesia. Test results show that the video has succeeded in improving the user's listening experience.

A recent Burson survey reinforces these findings. The survey found that more than 70 percent of users stated video content was improving their experience on Spotify more.

This music video will join a series of other interactive features that already exist, such as the Countdown Page, Kanvas, and Klip. These features help artists build closer connections with their fan bases.

With this launch, fans can now see video content from their favorite artists, more than just listening to music. Premium customers in the US and Canada can start exploring videos from well-known artists such as Ariana Grande and BABYMONSTER.

To watch, the customer can select a track supported on any device, then tap the ' Switch to video' button. The music video will play right at the track's point and users can switch to audio by pressing ' Switch to audio'.

To find other videos, users can explore the Related Music Video section or view under the Music tab on the artist's profile. This music video is expected to be available to all Premium subscribers in both countries by the end of December.
