Riska Amelia Gets Second Medal In SEA Games 2025 Bike Racing

JAKARTA Riska Amelia Agustina managed to get a silver medal at the 2025 SEA Games multi-pronged sports event in Thailand, which is the second medal from the mountain bike (MTB) team.

The medal was brought home by Riska from the women's downhill number. She managed to record a time of three minutes 04.874 seconds at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thailand, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

"This is the first SEA Games for me. I am grateful for the results even though I have not reached the first podium," Riska said in an official statement received in Jakarta.

Riska faces a very competitive match. The nine best MTB cyclists from Southeast Asia are chasing each other's time to win a gold medal.

Riska admits that in competing there are quite a lot of challenges that she has to face, including having to endure pain because she had an accident during training.

"From the first time I practiced, I crashed and had a rib injury, but I was resistant. Then, this morning I warmed up I crashed again. It was quite stressful, I came back again I still had to be calm, didn't think about anything," said Riska.

The first position was won by Vipavee Deekaballes (Thailand) which recorded a time of three minutes 03.289 seconds to get a gold medal. Meanwhile, the third place was won by another host cyclist Ritthidet Kanokrat with a time of three minutes 06.778 seconds.

Furthermore, the Indonesian MTB team will compete in the men's cross country number which will take place on December 12, 2025 in the same place.

Previously, one silver medal from the Indonesian MTB team was contributed by Rendy Varera which fell in the men's mountain bike downhill number. Rendy's record time lost against the host representative Mehasat Boonsane.
