Command! Pangdam Kasuari Checks Soldier Readiness In Vulnerable Areas Of West Papua
JAKARTA - Commander of the Military Region (Pangdam) XVIII / Cassowary Maj. Gen. I Nyoman Cantiasa inspected the readiness of operations and security task force of vulnerable areas in Sorong, West Papua.
In the examination, Cantiasa reviewed the readiness of personnel, individual equipment, unit equipment, and the main equipment of weapons systems (alutsista) in the Task Force for Security of Vulnerable Areas (Task Force Pamrahwan) 2 Company of The Special Raider Infantry Battalion (Yonif RK) 762/Vira Yudha Sakti (VYA).
"I hope that at the examination of the level of the TNI Mabes everything is in a ready condition of operation," Cantiasa told his ranks when the operational readiness check took place in the field of Yonif RK 762/YVS ceremony, Sorong quoted Antara, Tuesday, May 25.
Cantiasa explained that the operation unit, including the task force and the soldiers must always be ready to guard vulnerable areas in West Papua.
"Vulnerable areas including papua is a region of the Republic of Indonesia that has strategic value for the sovereignty of the country and affects the defense aspects of the country, as well as being a bet for the nation's self-esteem so that it needs to be maintained and secured as best as possible," explained Cantiasa.
That readiness, among others, is demonstrated by, the soldier's understanding of the characteristics of the area of operation, local wisdom, and the knowledge of predicting or estimating the tactical state / state of the terrain, said Cantiasa.
Cantiasa not only checked the readiness of soldiers and weaponry used by Task Force Pamrahwan 2Nd Special Raider Infantry Battalion 762/YVS, but also heard about the operational readiness of Brigif Commander 26/GP Colonel Inf Faisol Izuddin Karimi.
Cantiasa on that occasion gave a message to the soldiers who guard vulnerable areas in West Papua.
"Every soldier must understand every task given. This can be done through discussions within the team to describe each command given. Every soldier should not hesitate to ask questions or give advice regarding the task that will be carried out," said Cantiasa.
