Superior! BYD Rajai Of The Best-selling Electric Car Brand November 2025 In Indonesia

JAKARTA - BYD has again shown its dominance in the Indonesian electric car market throughout November 2025. Based on retail sales data or distribution from dealers to consumers, manufacturers from China recorded an impressive figure of 8,243 units.

BYD really excels far from its opponents who are also selling only electric cars, as reported by data from Gaikindo, Wednesday, December 10. The main driver of BYD's performance last month was none other than BYD Atto 1, their latest model that managed to steal public attention.

The price set below Rp200 million makes it a magnet for consumers who target affordable electric vehicles with qualified features. In second place, Aion comes with a retail sale of 377 units, followed by Denza, a premium BYD submerek that sends 290 units of vehicles to the buyer.

Despite being in different segments, Denza began to show stability after previously breaking through 1,000 units per month in March, June, and July. Newcomer Xpeng also stole the spotlight.

In November 2025, they recorded sales of 152 units, this jumped 46.1 percent compared to October which was at 104 units. Xpeng is currently marketing two models in Indonesia, namely G6 and X9, with X9 with CKD (Completely Knocked Down) status or locally assembled.

On the other hand, some manufacturers must face a downward trend towards the end of the year. Polytron, for example, fell quite significantly from 103 units to 58 units. To date, BYD is the only electric car brand capable of breaking the sales rate of more than 1,000 units in November 2025.

Meanwhile, Geely is now starting to expand its product strategy. Not only playing in the pure electric car segment, they are now offering Starray EM-i, a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology model.
