The Indonesian 5s Hockey National Team Has A Great Chance To Get The 2025 SEA Games Gold Medal
JAKARTA The men's and women's 5s Hockey national team have a great opportunity to bring home the gold medal from the 2025 SEA Games if they make it past Thailand in the semifinals and qualify for the final round of the tournament.
Indonesia is scheduled to undergo a semifinal match against the White Elephant Country in the 2025 SEA Games Hockey 5s at the RTA Hockey Stadium Don Muang, Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
The coach of the Indonesian Hockey National Team, Dhaarma Raj, said that he would ask his team to go all out when dealing with the home team.
"We have no choice. Tomorrow the match will be decisive. The target is that we qualify for the final first," said Dhaarma in a statement received in Jakarta.

He further said that it is not easy to conquer Thailand which is also ambitious. Moreover, the opponent received full support from his supporters. However, he remains optimistic that his foster children can meet the target to the final.
Dhaarma Raj said that the Indonesian Hockey 5s national team most likely faced Malaysia, which would already qualify because they faced the Philippines which was not seeded in other semifinal matches.
"If we can go to the final, automatically the chance to win against Malaysia in the final is quite open," he said.
The determination to go all out in the last match was also revealed by the goalkeeper of the Hockey 5s Indonesian Men's National Team, Ahmad Fikri.
"I am ready to secure the goal so as not to concede. I am sure we will beat Thailand and Malaysia in the final later," he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Central Board of the Indonesian Hockey Federation (PP FHI), Yasser Arafat Suaidy, who was always present to watch the match continue to motivate the Indonesian Hockey 5s national team.
He specifically asked the Indonesian Hockey 5s national team to play loose so that they could display their best game.
"The Indonesian Hockey 5s national team is indeed filled with new faces. They have also just appeared in the 5s hoax number, but God willing, the target to the final can be met and thankfully can exceed," said Yasser.
