Presiden Prabowo Disambut Ceremony Militer Di PM House Islamabad
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto was greeted with a military ceremony when he visited the official residence of the Pakistani prime minister (PM House) in Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet face-to-face with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Right in the courtyard of PM House, the arrival of PM Sharif welcomed President Prabowo's arrival.
The two of them walked to the pulpit to receive respect from the Pakistani army. During the procession, the national anthem of the two countries was sung, starting with the Indonesian national anthem "Indonesia Raya", and followed by the Pakistani national anthem "P least Sarzammen".
President Prabowo then examined the honorary forces, consisting of soldiers of the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force in the courtyard area. During the inspection of the troops, President Prabowo was accompanied by three soldiers from the Pakistan Armed Forces.
After that, PM Sharif introduced his ranks of ministers to President Prabowo, and President Prabowo continued to introduce his ranks of ministers to PM Sharif.
The Indonesian Government Delegation, which accompanied President Prabowo on his visit to Islamabad, included Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono.
Participating in the group, Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, Head of the Defense Logistics Agency of the Ministry of Defense Marshal Madya TNI Yusuf Jauhari, and Commander of the Indonesian Army Kopassus Lt. Gen. Djon Afriandi.
PM Sharif then escorted his guest to plant tree seedlings as a symbol of Indonesia-Pakistan friendship in the front yard of PM House. The two then continued to enter the PM House for a one-on-one meeting and bilateral meetings between the Government of Indonesia and Pakistan.
After the meeting, President Prabowo and PM Sharif continued to witness the exchange of memorandum of understanding for cooperation (MoU) and agreements that were successfully agreed upon by the two countries. The MoU and the agreement cover several sectors, including the higher education sector, scholarship assistance, trade and certification of halal products, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperation to eradicate drugs, and cooperation in the health sector.
After witnessing the exchange of cooperation documents, PM Sharif started a joint statement session regarding the results of his meeting with President Prabowo, then continued by a joint statement session from President Prabowo.
From PM House, President Prabowo is scheduled to continue meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari.
