Mike Tyson Leaks Time And Place Of Duel Against Floyd Mayweather

JAKARTA Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson has leaked time and place for an exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather, a clash that is claimed to be ready to break audience records.

The two names announced their fight plans in September 2025, but at that time their location and meeting time had not been leaked. Tyson at the An Experience With event recently later leaked the timing and venue of their duel.

"The fight will take place in March (2026) and will be held in Africa," Tyson said as quoted by Ring Magazine.

So far it is still unclear whether their fight will be included in the catchweight class or not. The reason is, Tyson (50-7, 44 KO) is known as heavyweight champion as long as he is still active in the ring.

On the other hand, Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) is recorded to have won titles in five different divisions, from junior lightweight to junior middleweight.

In Mayweather's case, he is used to the world of exhibition fights. Since retiring in 2017 after KO's victory over Conor McGregor, the boxer who entered the Hall of Fame 2022 has participated in a number of exhibition matches, including against Logan Paul, John Gotti III, and Tenshin Nasukawa.

In addition, the 48-year-old boxer has also recently opened up about the possibility of returning to the ring against Manny Pacquiao, who reportedly wants to be held as a professional fight.

"It will be amazing. We will break all records. This will be one of the biggest events in the history of this sport," said Tyson.

Tyson ended his nearly 20 years retirement on November 15, 2024 to face Jake Paul, a YouTuber who had just turned to professional boxing. Tyson, who was 58 at the time, lost through a unequal number of decisions.

There are currently no specific rules regarding Tyson and Mayweather's duel plans. They could be in the catchweight class and apply two minutes of rules every round like Tyson's time against Jake Paul.
