The Medan's Pangkalan Brandan Toll Road Is Confirmed To Be Passed Post-Banking Sumatra

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has ensured that the Medan' Pangkalan Brandan toll road section is safe again and can be passed after the flood that hit Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, at the end of November 2025.

"Based on monitoring as of December 6, 2025, the floods that previously submerged a number of points have now fully receded and the flow of vehicles has returned smoothly to support community mobility and logistics distribution," the account said in a statement.

As part of the recovery, the Ministry of Public Works through the North Sumatra National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) continues to clean up remaining flood materials and repair road conditions around toll access.

"In order to maintain the safety and comfort of users," he said.

The acceleration of handling is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directives so that all elements of the government move quickly, integrated and responsively in disaster management.

Meanwhile, one of the road users named Reza said that the trip on the toll road was now smooth.

"There are no more garbage barriers, the stagnant water also doesn't exist," he said.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Works noted that along 2,058 kilometers of national roads were damaged by flash floods and landslides in Sumatra. The Ministry of Public Works also noted that as many as 31 national bridges were damaged by the impact of the disaster.
