Tarawih Cluster In Banyuwangi Saves 9 People Positive Covid-19
BANYUWANGI - Task Force COVID-19 Banyuwangi, East Java called tarawih cluster in Yudomulyo Hamlet, Ringintelu Village, Bangorejo Subdistrict, has been handled.
Head of Puskesmas Kebondalem Muhammad Hamami said that currently only waiting for 9 residents who are still declared positive for COVID-19.
Of these, 8 people were self-isolated and one person was hospitalized for childbirth.
"So the latest case today there is a maternity mother who was declared positive COVID-19. While the child is negative," he said when contacted on Tuesday, May 25.
From this cluster, the total number of people examined by PCR swabs was 387 people. The result was 74 positive people and 7 people died.
"So it can be handled and it's been controlled, the number of active cases is no longer worrying," he said.
Previously reported, this cluster was known after a takmir or mosque administrator died in hospital with positive test results of COVID-19 in early May.
After that, local officials conducted a massive tracing to families, neighborhoods, and mosque worshipers. Nearly 350 more people have undergone tests, including residents who participated in tarawih at the mosque.
