Press COVID-19, Aceh Will Involve The Role Of Mothers

JAKARTA - Mothers have a big role to play in preventing and keeping their families from contracting COVID-19. Namely by reminding to apply health protocols to the family.

"We will involve mothers to help the government discipline the covid-19 health protocol in their families," said Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah in a virtual meeting of Forkopimda Aceh and districts/cities related to the evaluation of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Pendopo Governor of Aceh, Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 25.

She explained that she strongly agreed that households should be a bulwark for handling COVID-19 and more specifically an important factor of motherhood.

The Governor also invited the COVID-19 Task Force of districts/cities to participate in campaigning for the role of mothers in keeping their family members from exposure to coronavirus.

"A concrete step to support this idea is that the government will cooperate with women's organizations and authorize them to discipline health protocols in the community. We will invite and involve women's organizations in tackling outbreaks such as pkk, dekranasda, persit, bhayangkari and a number of other organizations," said the Governor.

Nova says that as a mother, women in the family can make sure family members such as children and the elderly stay at home during the pandemic when there is no essential need to get out of the house.

"If it comes out, then it should remind the application of health protocols," said Nova Iriansyah.

Aceh Police Chief Irjen Wahyu Widada in the meeting said the role of mothers is very important to be used in handling COVID-19.

According to her, the image of a respected mother and obeyed by the child and husband can be effective to remind health protocols in order to protect her family.

Therefore, the role of mothers in pkk, Bhayangkari and Persit will be more effective to provide awareness in the community, said Wahyu Widada.
