Pelita Jaya Basketball Club Signs MoU With Bakrie University
JAKARTA The Pelita Jaya basketball club has officially collaborated with Bakrie University, which was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The cooperation agreement between the two parties took place at Bakrie Tower, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at noon WIB. This collaboration will ensure program alignment and real impacts for students, athletes, and the sports ecosystem, especially basketball in Indonesia.
Their partnership for the development of education, training, and increased competence of human resources in the field of sports, especially basketball.
In addition, this collaboration also includes organizing formal education for athletes, scholarship programs, training, and coaching student activities.

The Chancellor of Bakrie University, Prof Sofia W. Alisjahbana, said that this collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen the relationship between the world of education and the professional sports industry.
"We see great potential in integrating academic discipline with field experience from Pelita Jaya. Bakrie University is committed to providing relevant and quality access to education for athletes," he said.
Bakrie University will later provide Athlete Scholarship quotas for Pelita Jaya members, including academic flexibility that allows athletes to continue to undergo higher education and remain able to train and compete.
This collaboration also formulated Pelita Jaya's support for the development of UKMA Basketball at Bakrie University and opened up internship opportunities and career development for students.
This collaboration is expected to give birth to talents who are not only superior in sports achievements, but are also ready to compete in future professional careers.
Pelita Jaya Jakarta Club President Andiko Ardi Purnomo said that this collaboration with Bakrie University would open up opportunities for players to develop both on the field and in class.
"Being a student athlete is not easy, it needs focus and discipline. That's the character we want to shape. We hope this program strengthens Bakrie University in the Student League and gives birth to Pelita Jaya's future successor," he said.
This cooperation ceremony was also attended by Vice President Jeremy Imanuel Santoso, Andakara Prastawa captain, and Pelita Jaya student, Hendrick Xavi Yonga.
The presence of Prastawa, alumni of Bakrie University and senior Pelita Jaya players, is a real example of the success of athletes who are able to complete education while having a professional career.
