SEA Games 2025 Badminton Results: Beat Singapore, Indonesian Men's Team Reaches Final Round
JAKARTA The Indonesian men's team badminton team was forced to rise from behind against Singapore in the semifinals to secure the final ticket for the 2025 SEA Games which took place in Thailand.
The Red-White men's team squad fought to beat the opposing team with a convincing score of 3-1 in the match that took place at Thamasat Rangsit Gym 4 on Monday, December 8, 2025, evening WIB.
The only missing point from Indonesia occurred in the first match. Alwi Farhan, who took part in the 2021 world champion Loh Kean Yew, suffered a three-game defeat 15-21, 21-14, and 8-21.
Be patient Gutama/Mohammad employee Reza Pahlevi Isfahani who took part in the second party then managed to equalize. They stopped the Eng Keat Wesley Koh/Junsuke Kubo three games 21-18, 18-21, and 21-10.

Indonesia then took the lead when Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah stepped in as the second men's singles in the third party. The 2025 Asian junior champion badminton player stopped Jia Heng Jason Teh in an easy two straight game 21-2 and 21-13.
The victory of the Indonesian men's badminton team was then determined in the fourth party. Leo Rolly Carnando / Bagas Maulana who came down managed to stop Donovanhir Wee / Jia Hao Howin Wong in two straight games 21-12 and 21-19.
The Indonesian men's team is the defending champion in the Southeast Asian nation's sporting event. Previously in Cambodia in 2023, they brought home gold after defeating Malaysia 3-1 in the final.
In this year's final, Indonesia is confirmed to meet Malaysia again. The neighboring country secured a men's team final ticket after locking a 3-1 victory against the host Thailand.
Earlier, this afternoon, Indonesia also secured tickets for the final round of the biennial multi-pronged sporting event from the women's team sector. Putri Kusuma Wardani and colleagues qualified for the final after a dramatic 3-2 win against Malaysia.
