Before He Died, Yaya Moektio Plans To Hold A Tribute Concert For Raidy Noor

JAKARTA - Yaya Moektio's departure not only left the lara, but also a promise that had not been completed.

As is known, the former God Bless drummer died at Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta on Monday, December 8 at 4.00 WIB.

In the midst of the tears of family and friends who accompanied the drummer's departure at the Jeruk Purut TPU, it was revealed that Yaya had not had time to carry out a big plan.

Rama Moektio, son of the late Yaya, said that before falling ill and having to be treated intensively, his father was designing a tribute event for his fellow musician, Raidy Noor, who died on October 15.

"So, he (Yaya Moektio) has a music partner, Om Raidy, the bass player, just died. So, he wanted to make Raidy Noor Night, collected, there was Om Keenan (Nasution), all of them, from the Pegangsaan Gang," Rama told the media after his father's funeral.

The plan, originally titled "Raidy Noor Night", had to be delayed when Yaya Moektio started to get sick.

Now, after Yaya is also following Raidy, said Rama, friends and fellow musicians plan to continue and perfect the plan into a dual tribute concert.

"Now it's finally Moektio and Raidy Noor Night, I want to make friends with Papa's friends," said Rama.

Although there is no mention of a tribute concert that will be held, it is certain that the event will be a gathering place for musicians from the 1970s to the 1990s who have collaborated with Yaya Moektio, from those who are members of the Pegangsaan Gang such as Keenan Nasution, to major bands that have been strengthened by Yaya, such as God Bless, Cockpit, and Gong 2000.

Furthermore, Rama also tried to describe his father. "He's a good father, a good drummer too. Indeed, he learned a lot from him."

"For socialization, he is good, strong, easy to make friends, and to his family as well as good communication," concluded Rama.
