86 Kri Nanggala-402 Crew Children Get Excellent Scholarships To Undergraduates
JAKARTA - A total of 86 children from the crew of KRI Nanggala 402 received Excellent Scholarships from the government ranging from elementary school (SD) to undergraduate level.
The awarding of the scholarship is contained in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) conducted online in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 25.
"This MCC is an effort to carry out the direction of President Jokowi to provide protection, guarantee and certainty of the distribution of Scholarships Excellence awards to the sons and daughters of the kri 402 crew," said Minister of Education, Nadiem Anwar Makarim quoted Antara, Tuesday, May 25.
The total scholarships to be distributed are Rp33.251 billion. Scholarships are distributed gradually until 2044.
There is also a scholarship component consisting of tuition fees, living costs, and book fees to pursue formal education from elementary to undergraduate colleges in education units in Indonesia.

Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral of the TNI, Yudo Margono said that the signing of the MCC was a mandate of the President as a form of high appreciation for the dedication, loyalty, and dedication of the crew that has been given to the nation and the country.
"I hope this signing can be a guideline in the implementation of rights and obligations in accordance with the agreed cooperation agreement to distribute, monitor, and evaluate the provision of Excellent Scholarships for the sons and daughters of kri 402 crew," yudo said.
Yudo hopes that the scholarship can provide great benefits for the families of kri 402 crew members to ease the burden of the family in ensuring education for the children of the crew members who died.
The Cooperation Agreement (MCC) on the awarding of Award-Winning Scholarships for the sons and daughters of the crew of KRI Nanggala 402 was prepared between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology signed by the acting (Acting) Secretary General of the Ministry of Education Ainun Na'im, with the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Navy signed by Assistant Personnel Kasal, Rear Admiral IRWAN Achmadi based on the warrant of the Chief of Naval Staff.
