Best Council Member Award Title, DKI DPRD: Sometimes We Are Sad That The Best Performance Is Not Exposed
JAKARTA - The Honorary Board (BK) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD will hold a BK Award on Saturday, December 13. This event is a forum for awarding council members with the best performance achievements throughout the year, as well as efforts to encourage a more disciplined and transparent work culture.
Chairman of the BK DPRD DKI Jakarta Yudha Permana said that this activity was born from anxiety over the good performance of a number of council members who were often not seen by the public.
"Sometimes we like to be sad, which members of the board of good performance like not to be exposed. So we want to raise a positive culture starting in 2025. We give appreciation to council members who want to work well for the citizens of Jakarta," said Yudha at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, December 8.
Yudha explained that all DPRD members, except for BK members, were included in the assessment. According to Yudha, the BK Award is expected to provide encouragement for council members who still need to improve their performance.
"We focus on looking for the best of the best. This is also a stimulus so that in the future those who are still less enthusiastic, hopefully the members of the council, God willing, will be even more enthusiastic in the following years," he said.
The BK Award contains seven categories of assessment. The elements that are being assessed are the attendance of plenary meetings, attendance, board equipment meetings, LHKPN reports, activity reports such as recess and regional regulation socialization, to responses to residents' aspirations. The first category is council members with the best attendance levels.
"Maybe we are also a bit surprised that there are still many DPRD members who are 100 percent absent from the plenary session. Now this is a note for the public, many council members who really work for Jakarta residents," said Yudha.

The second category is the best performance board member who is judged from the accumulation of various aspects of public service and activeness in the duties of diversity. The third category is the best newcomer council member.
"So we chose one member of the council who was a member of the DPRD for the first time, and has never been a member of the DPRD, and the best performing of all newcomers in the DKI Jakarta DPRD," explained Yudha.
Furthermore, the categories of the Most Popular Council Members are based on media recommendations and the DPRD Public Relations team, as well as the Inspirational Council chosen by fellow members of the council. BK also gives awards to supporting staff members of the council such as PJLP and Pamdal.
Furthermore, Yudha ensured that the BK Award was not a sudden activity. An assessment has been carried out since January 2025 and the socialization to council members has started since the beginning of the year.
"We have also calculated the assessment from January 2025. Hopefully this can be a stimulus and motivate every year," said Yudha.
