No New Supply, Non-Hybrid Toyota Veloz Is Confirmed Not To Continue

JAKARTA - PT Toyota Badminton Astra Motor (TAM) officially presents a hybrid Veloz which launched at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025 (GJAW) exhibition. Of course, not a few have asked whether non-hybrids are still being sold?

Responding to the above, Auto2000 Chief Executive Anton Jimmi Suwandy, said the company (Auto2000) no longer received supply of conventional models from Brand Holder Agents (APM), after the hybrid variant launched.

"Currently, you can almost say it runs out, if in Jakarta it can be said that it runs out. Just stay in the area," he said, when met in the BSD area, some time ago.

Thus, Toyota is allegedly not going to sell the old version, and will focus on selling the model (hybrid).

"So the number is not much and there is no more supply," he added.

Anton added that the company's focus on Veloz is only on hybrid engines. Looking again at the specifications, the Veloz hybrid comes with several variants.

The cheapest model is offered at a price of IDR 299 million without any quota limit. This price is a pre-book price that is valid until December 31, 2025.

Veloz is the most expensive in the price range of IDR 360-390 million. Speaking of design, Veloz Hybrid has not changed much from the previous model, and now there is a typical hybrid emblem of Toyota.

Then in the Q Modellista TSS model, the SUV feel is even more strengthened. It can be seen from the use of black overfenders, side skirts, black wheels, as well as the choice of dual tone color with black glass roofs and pillars.

In addition, the TSS Q Modellista is also equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package called Toyota Safety Sense aka TSS. Some of them are the Pre-Collition Warning and Braking feature, Pedal Misoperation Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, and Front Departure Alert.

Veloz Hybrid carries a 2NR-VEX engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc and exactly the same hybrid system as the Yaris Cross. The hybrid system uses a Toyota Hybrid System series that provides a smooth, responsive, and instant driving transition.

Overall the system, the car ejects 111 PS at 5,500 rpm and torques from 121 Nm and 141 Nm engines from the driving force. The tank capacity is 43 liters and the battery uses lithium-ion technology.
