Dihujat Because Of Rice Panggul Imaging, Zulhas: I'm Sorry, The Important Thing Is To Help Disaster Victims

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) emphasized that he had no problem with public blasphemy regarding his actions of carrying rice when he visited the location of the flood disaster in West Sumatra on November 30, 2025.

For him, the most important thing is that food assistance can immediately reach the affected residents.

"Whatever you want to see, I don't have a problem, I'm sorry. But help our brothers and sisters in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra," said Zulhas at the Indonesia Group Conference Business in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, December 8.

Zulhas rice pelvis became a conversation on social media after the video of his visit was uploaded through his personal Instagram account. Zulhas chose to respond to the criticism with an invitation so that all parties hold back emotions and focus more on working together to help disaster victims.

He emphasized that no matter how small the form of assistance, it is very meaningful for people who have lost their livelihoods due to floods and landslides.

Zulhas said that the action of carrying rice was even the subject of jokes from residents when he was exercising in the Sudirman area, Jakarta.

"There are two mothers, 'Mr Zul, where is the rice? Don't work together with rice?' he said while imitating the words of the residents he met.

He said the habit of sharing had been taught by his late mother since childhood, and he continues to practice this value until now. According to him, giving is a religious order that must be done both in happy and difficult conditions.

"Every time I go to the area, ask my friends, I do share rice. Usually I work with rice, it can be 5 kilograms. I share it. It's normal," he said.

Zulhas ensured that the spirit of gotong royong and empathy must continue to be maintained so that people can rise together through difficult times. "But maybe for something else is strange, that's okay, I also forgive," he added.
