Rhoma Irama Auctions Jas To Soraban For Assistance For Victims Of The Sumatra Disaster

JAKARTA - Famous singer and preacher Rhoma Irama auctioned off her coats, sinks, and caps, her property as a form of concern in raising aid funds for communities affected by the Sumatran disaster, both Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"Now my body, this is a suit of more than 20-30 years (I am wearing) made by the coolest tailor in Jakarta, and in it is my name Rhoma Irama please auction it off," said Rhoma Irama in Bengkulu, Monday, December 8.

He auctioned off some of his personal items during the Tabligh Akbar joint prayer and donations for Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, which was held by the Bengkulu Provincial Government (Pemprov) on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Rhoma Irama hopes that the auction results can be immediately distributed to the affected brothers in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Not only that, Rhoma Irama also provides religious tausiah for the people of Bengkulu. He reminded the importance of increasing faith and piety.

In addition, according to Rhoma Irama, the disaster on the island of Sumatra can serve as a reminder and introspection for the nation's better future. He hopes that the community and areas affected by the disaster will recover soon.

Rhoma Irama also sang several of his songs as part of his da'wah in Bengkulu Province.

In Tabligh Akbar's joint prayers and donations for Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, the Bengkulu Provincial Government managed to collect assistance of IDR 4.3 billion.

"As of this morning, Rp4.3 billion was collected and it is still open until tomorrow morning (Tuesday 9/12). Meanwhile, from the auction of suits, sinks, and peci Haji Rhoma Irama, approximately Rp45 million was collected," said Bengkulu Governor Helmi Hasan.

According to Governor Helmi, the assistance was an effort by the Bengkulu Provincial Government together with the community to work hand in hand to provide assistance so that the three provinces on the island of Sumatra affected by the flash flood disaster immediately recovered.
