Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said the budget reallocation for 2026 was stated through the Dispensation of Budget Shift Revision in accordance with the Letter of the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Number 28189/MDM.A/PR.07.04/2025.

"To support the acceleration of learning, the Ministry of Education and Culture is also revising the budget through the Budget Shift Revision Dispensation according to the Letter of the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education number 28189/MDM.A/PR.07.04/2025, with a potential budget of IDR 53 billion," said the Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti in a working meeting (raker) with Commission X DPR, Monday, December 8.

The Minister of Education and Culture said that the 2026 budget reallocation will be prioritized for special allowances for teachers and emergency school facilities.

In his presentation, Abdul Mu'ti explained that the budget reallocation for the recovery of the post-disaster education system was obtained from the budget of the Secretariat General and the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Service Education (Ditjen Vocational PKPLK).

From the Secretariat General, the Minister of Education and Culture said that his party would re-allocate a budget of Rp. 50.5 billion, which was obtained from the allocation of the Education Financing Service Center of Rp. 35 billion, the allocation of the Data and Information Technology Center of Rp. 5.5 billion, and the allocation of the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of Rp. 10 billion.

"This step is taken so that emergency response funding can be allocated more quickly, flexibly, and according to field needs," said Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti.

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Culture has allocated a budget of IDR 21.1 billion for emergency response assistance through the existing budget.

This budget, said the Minister of Education and Culture, is used for initial assistance in emergency response in the field of education, in the form of providing tents and emergency classrooms as well as school equipment.

In addition, he added that the budget was also used for emergency school operational assistance, school environmental cleaning assistance, distribution and delivery costs, and psychosocial support activities.
