Akui Pembangunan Giant Sea Wall Kompleks, Pramono: Kalau Influencer Hanya Lihat Satu Sisi, Viralkan, Itu-apa
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) project which includes the construction of a giant sea embankment or Giant Sea Wall is one of the priorities of the DKI Provincial Government in 2025-2026.
"I ask the water resources office to continue construction in 2026, 2025, 2026 for NCICD, National Capital Integrated Coastal Development," said Pramono in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Monday, December 8.
Pramono acknowledged that the NCICD project has a high level of complexity, ranging from field conditions to inter-institutional authorities. He also responded to the emergence of criticism that was crowded on social media after the leakage of the embankment some time ago.
"Indeed, the construction is very complex. So then if there is input, suggestions and even yesterday there were many influencers who only looked on one side (related to the leakage of the embankment) and then went viral, that's okay," he said.
He asked the SDA Office to ensure that supervision and mitigation continue. The development segments that are the next focus include 1.2 kilometers of layoff Mas, 0.8 kilometers of West Ancol Seafront, and 1.1 kilometers of Muara Angke Mitigation Embankments.
"This is something that I then asked the water resources to anticipate," said Pramono.
In NCICD planning, the DKI Provincial Government has an obligation to build a 28.2 kilometer sea embankment, the DKI Provincial Government has only completed 11.8 kilometers so that there are still 16 kilometers left to be pursued.
He said, in 2026, work in the Mutiara Beach area will be a priority with a target of around 430 meters east side and 100 meters west side.
"So I hope that from the 28 kilometers we have done 11 kilometers, there are still 16 kilometers lacking," he said.
Apart from the DKI Provincial Government, some of the construction of Giant Sea Wall is also carried out by the central government. Even so, he emphasized that the local government still plays a major role in protecting the coastal areas of the capital city.
Therefore, Pramono assessed that coordination in mitigating the embankment structure needs to be carried out across sectors.
"How come something like this is like being divided, which is an agreement that was carried out at that time. But whatever I have ordered the SDA, the main person in charge is of course the DKI Jakarta Government because whatever the DKI Jakarta Government must be present for that," Pramono explained.
Like the case in the Muara Baru embankment which had gone viral, Pramono revealed that the person in charge was Pelindo. However, Pramono wants the DKI Provincial Government to help make improvements.
"So for the Pelindo area, we will ask Muara Baru to immediately coordinate working together with water resources. Things related to Ancol, public work, KKP, hopefully, can be done together. For the prevention of events that occurred in Jakarta like yesterday, hopefully it will be better," he added.
