COVID-19 Cluster Emerges In Surabaya Sari Penjaringan Rusun, Swab Hunter Team Moves

SURABAYA - The City Government (Pemkot) surabaya ensures 12 residents of flats (rusun) Block D, Penjaringan Sari Rusun confirmed COVID-19. The local government immediately deployed a swab hunter team throughout the village managed by the Surabaya Municipality.

Head of Public Relations Department of Surabaya Municipality Febriadhitya Prajatara said that the COVID-19 task force reported that there were two people exposed to COVID-19 in the bill on Friday, May 21.

"Yesterday the day after sunday night (22/5) the results came out and declared 12 people indicated by COVID-19," said Febri, in Surabaya, Tuesday, May 25.

Febri said the Surabaya Municipality immediately took a number of steps. One of them is, as many as 18 bills belonging to the government conducted swab tests simultaneously.

In that activity, the puskesmas team will come to the village or pick up the ball according to each region. "As for example, Bandar Rejo and Romokalisari rusun then in charge is Sememi Health Center," he said.

In addition, in order for the swab hunter to run more massively, a joint team of task force personnel will be deployed. In fact, he made sure the TNI and the police also conditioned the swab hunter test. "In addition to the Indonesian National Police, members of Kampung Tangguh Wani Jogo Suroboyo must be involved as well," he explained.

According to him, it is important to remap the location of the spread of COVID-19, especially in the City of Heroes. In fact, not only that, Febri elaborated this step was taken to ensure that if there are residents of the village who have done activities outside the city during the Eid holidays, it is mandatory to take a swab test.

"Do not let the spread or emergence of clusters in the region," he explained.

Febri asked that the cooperation between citizens to prevent the spread of COVID-19 does not fade. Although some residents have been vaccinated for COVID-19, he hopes that people will be ignorant of the COVID-19 program.

"Hopefully if all can be controlled pandemic will soon disappear from Surabaya," he concluded.
