Honda Civic Type R Recently Steals Attention To Red Number Plates
JAKARTA - The latest generation Honda Civic Type R is back in the spotlight after being seen crossing Indian roads. The car is wearing a red number plate, which indicates that the unit has the status of a trial or import.
This sighting coincided with Honda Cars India, which officially confirmed plans to introduce several CBU models starting next year. As quoted from Rushlane, Monday, December 8.
However, there is also the possibility that this special unit is only private imports and may not have direct ties to Honda's strategy in India. Interestingly, the Honda WRV RS was also recently seen in India.
Talking about design, compared to the previous generation model that carries an aggressive and cornered design, Civic Type R has just brought a more mature and aerodynamic approach. Built on the 11th generation Civic platform, this latest Civic Type R comes with a redesigned engine hood with a functional scoop.
Then a larger culling for better airflows, and airways attached to the bumper to increase cooling. The side features a 19-inch light alloy rim and a tougher braking system, while the back stands out with large fixed wings, three exhaust pipes, and a black diffuser.
