Prabowo Tastes Refugee Kitchen Cooking, Ensures Refugee Nutrition Is Fulfilled

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto again showed his attention to the basic needs of residents affected by the disaster when visiting the Refugee Command Post in Balee Panaman Village, Aceh.

During his visit, Prabowo had time to taste tuna fish cooked in public kitchens as a menu for refugee lunch.

The incident occurred after the President greeted the residents and monitored the condition of the post. He then went to the emergency kitchen area to see firsthand the food processing process. There, Prabowo asked permission from the cook to try the prepared dishes.

"There's a spoon? I want to try it," he said while taking a bowl of food from the pan.

Several volunteers who served as cooks then prepared a plate full of tuna fish side dishes so that the President could taste it completely. After trying, Prabowo gave a relaxed comment about the taste of the dish.

"Pedes yes, this," said the President with a smile.

One of the mothers who cooked did not miss the opportunity to ask Prabowo directly.

"Isn't it delicious, sir? What kind of side dishes are Mr. President?" asked one of the kitchen staff.

"Ikan komkol," replied Prabowo.

The President's visit to the public kitchen is nothing new. In every review of the disaster site, he often checks the quality of the food served by refugees, starting from taste to aspects of hygiene and nutritional value.

For Prabowo, ensuring that food is available in sufficient quantities, deserves consumption, and meets the nutritional needs is an important form of government attention to residents affected by the disaster.
