Construction Of Towers In Bireuen Aceh Almost Completed, Electricity Supply Will Recover Soon
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Disaster Preparedness Team revealed that the physical construction of two route Tower Emergency in Bireuen Regency has reached 87 percent and will be operated in the near future.
Head of the Disaster Preparedness ESDM Team Rudy Sufahriadi said the work was focused on two critical lanes, namely Bireuen-Arun and Bireuen-Peusangan. He said the tower structure for the two lines was already established and the technical team is now at an important stage of cable withdrawal (stringing).
"Tower emergency has been established and the cable withdrawal process is underway," he said in an official statement, in Jakarta, Sunday, December 7.
Rudy said, weather conditions and topography are the main obstacles in this development. Locations that demand cables across rivers and heavy rains that often pour make the transportation of materials and field work must be adjusted for the safety of the team.
"If it rains heavily, the job is stopped to prioritize safety," said Rudy.
To overcome the short-term needs of the distribution network, PT PLN has placed generators in several affected areas, including Takengon, Aceh Tamiang, and Bener Meriah.
Rudy said, the priority of distributing generators is focused on vital facilities such as hospitals and PDAM installations so that public services continue to run when the transmission supply has not fully recovered.
