DKI Jakarta BPBD Says Floods In 4 East Jakarta Villages Have Receded This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province confirmed that 4 urban villages in the East Jakarta area, which had been flooded, had finally receded on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan, confirmed that 15 RTs from 4 sub-districts that had been flooded have now receded. In the report, the flood inundation had receded at around 11.00 WIB.

"The floods that have receded are in Bidara Cina Village, where there are 3 RTs. Then 4 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village have also receded," said Yohan when confirmed.

A total of 5 RTs that had been flooded in Cawang Village were also reported to have receded.

"There are 3 RTs in Cililitan Village that have also receded," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the river ciliwung that crossed the East Jakarta area again overflowed and flooded residential areas in 15 RTs spread across four urban villages in East Jakarta on Sunday, December 7, 2025, morning.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province said the 15 RTs were located in 4 different urban villages.

As for Bidara Cina Village, there are 3 RTs that were flooded with a height of 30-35 cm. The flood in this area occurred due to the overflowing of the Ciliwung River which was passing through the area.

In addition, flooding was also caused by high rainfall, thus increasing the volume of water accommodated in this basin area. Currently, handling is still being carried out by related parties.

"There are 4 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village with a water level of 75 cm. The cause is due to high rainfall and overflowing Ciliwung rivers," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed, Sunday, December 7.

Sementara di Kelurahan Cawang, sebanyak 5 RT juga ikut terendam banjir. Banjir merendam ratusan rumah penduduk di kawasan ini.

"Penyebabnya curah hujan tinggi dan luapan Kali Ciliwung. Ketinggian air mencapai 80 cm," katanya.

Selain itu, banjir juga menggenangi 3 RT yang berada di Kelurahan Cililitan. Di kawasan ini, genangan banjir dilaporkan setinggi 90 cm.

Meanwhile, in Cawang Village, 5 RTs were also flooded. Floods submerged hundreds of houses in this area.

"The cause is high rainfall and overflowing Ciliwung River. The water level reaches 80 cm," he said.

In addition, the flood also inundated 3 RTs in Cililitan Village. In this area, the flood inundation was reported to be as high as 90 cm.
