Bekasi City Government Postpones PNBK Event, Prepares Anticipation Steps To Face Extreme Weather
BEKASI - The Bekasi City Government, West Java, canceled the cultural arts performance of Pesona Nusantara Bekasi Keren (PNBK) which was originally scheduled for Sunday, December 7.
Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono said this decision was taken as a form of empathy for the condition of concern that was hitting a number of areas in the country, as well as preparedness steps to deal with the potential for extreme weather in Bekasi City.

Tri ensured that all elements of the regional government were in a state of readiness to face the potential for extreme weather.
Just so you know, the Bekasi City Government has held an extreme weather preparedness coordination meeting in Bekasi City on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Tri received a readiness report from BPBD, BMSDA Service, Environment Service, Transportation Service, and sub-district officials.
The municipal government also provides pump readiness, drainage, and field personnel, including ensuring the availability of basic food supplies for emergency needs and the readiness of a fleet of boats that can be deployed in the event of an evacuation.
"All systems must be fully alert. Equipment, logistics, and coordination channels must work quickly so that residents remain safe," said Tri Adhianto as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday.

He ensured that all disaster management protocols in Bekasi City would continue to run and be coordinated.
The Bekasi City Government appealed to residents to remain alert to weather changes, maintain environmental cleanliness, and immediately report to 112 if they find potential hazards in their area.
