Three Gas Stations Have Operated, The Distribution Of Fuel And LPG In Aceh Tamiang Is Gradually Recovered

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) continues to accelerate the fulfillment of fuel oil (BBM) and LPG in the Aceh Tamiang region.

For your information, major floods and landslides in the Sumatra region have an impact on the energy sector, such as fuel and LPG gas. In Aceh, especially Tamiang became one of the worst areas and was isolated.

Head of the Disaster Preparedness ESDM Team Rudy Sufahriadi said that until Saturday, December 6, 2025, most of the Public Oil Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) had recovered and operated normally again.

Including in Aceh Tamiang Regency, now there are three gas stations operating to serve the community.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PT Pertamina (Persero) prioritized the recovery of gas stations affected by the disaster. We have also recovered 3 gas stations in Aceh Tamiang Regency, so that they can serve the needs of the people there," he said in an official statement, Sunday, December 7.

Rudy revealed that in the provinces of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and Aceh, there were still several gas stations that had blackouts, aka the power grid had died or suffered damage to facilities and infrastructure due to flooding.

"For gas stations in North Sumatra, currently only 3 gas stations are still not operating," he said.

Rudy detailed, of the 55 gas stations in Deli Serdang Regency, 1 gas station is still damaged by facilities and infrastructure, while the other 54 have been operating.

"Then in Langkat Regency, of the 21 gas stations, there are 2 that still cannot serve consumers because they experience flooding in the pump island area," he said.

Meanwhile in Aceh, said Rudy, all gas stations in North Aceh Regency, East Aceh, Langsa, and Bireuen have been operating normally. Then in Pidie Jaya Regency, out of 4 gas stations, 3 have been operating and the remaining 1 has been damaged by facilities and infrastructure.

In Aceh Tamiang Regency, continued Rudy, 3 of the 7 gas stations are already operating, the rest are still in the process of recovering due to damage to facilities and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, in Gayo Lues Regency, 1 in 7 gas stations has served the community and the remaining 6 are still not functioning because the electricity network has not yet recovered. As for Bener Meriah Regency, all of the 4 gas stations are still not operating because the electricity grid has a blackout.

Especially for Bireuen Regency, the distribution of fuel to eastern Bireuen is normal, there are no obstacles. The distribution of fuel was carried out from the Integrated Terminal (IT) Lhokseumawe. Meanwhile, for the western Bireuen, the distribution has gradually returned to normal, even though it has been transferred from the Krueng Raya Fuel Terminal (FT).

The operation of FT Krueng Raya has also gradually returned to normal, the queues are slowly starting to decompose, along with the continuous distribution of fuel. In addition, since last Friday, the aid tankers from IT Lhokseumawe have also arrived and been used to help distribute them to Pidie, Pidie Jaya, and Bireuen Regencies," said Rudy.

Rudy said that Bireuen residents have also gained access to LPG gas again. The distribution of LPG for eastern Bireuen is running normally, without any problems with the distribution from the Elpiji Fuel Filling Station (SPBE).

Meanwhile, for the western part of Bireuen, continued Rudy, although distribution is still carried out in stages and manually, LPG can reach people in need.

Even though the terrain is still difficult to pass, LPG can already be distributed to the community. The distribution of 3 kilograms of LPG is carried out through the river, because the bridge is cut off. LPG is very important to be able to meet the food needs of the community. The distribution of LPG is also focused on meeting the needs of public kitchens in evacuations," said Rudy.
