Hakordia 2025 Held In Yogyakarta, KPK: Symbol Of Strengthening War Against Corruption
The implementation of the 2025 World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) in Yogyakarta is called the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto as a symbol of strengthening the eradication of corruption as well as uniting the actions of all parties to fight corrupt practices.
"This is a symbol to be able to make efforts to eradicate corruption even better than in previous years," said Setyo Budiyanto during the 2025 Hakordia commemoration event in the Yogyakarta Kilometer Zero Point area, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 6.
According to Setyo, Yogyakarta was chosen as the main location for the 2025 Hakordia commemoration, including because governance and regional infrastructure development are considered good.
"This is a city of education, then a city of tourism, then also considering the implementation of government governance is also relatively very good. Infrastructure development is also good, then a lot of community involvement," he explained.
In addition, the selection of Yogyakarta is also a new breakthrough because for years Hakordia has almost always been held in Jakarta. The change in location, said Setyo, is expected to expand the reach so that anti-corruption messages are closer to the public in various regions.
Hakordia 2025, which carries the theme "Unify Action, Basmi Corruption" is packaged in a series of various activities to its peak on December 9, starting from carnivals, free exhibitions, and cultural performances that allow people to watch and participate.
According to the theme, Setyo said that Hakordia 2025 wanted to remind the public that efforts to eradicate corruption were not only the task of anti-corruption agencies.
"It is necessary to support all levels, be it the community, the government, the private sector, anyone to jointly support efforts to eradicate corruption," he said.

Setyo hopes that the implementation of Hakordia in Yogyakarta will motivate other regions to improve the quality of government governance. That way, similar warnings in the following years are likely to be held in other cities that are considered ready.
"Hopefully, this can also be a motivation for other cities. When it can carry out or carry out better government management," said Setyo.
He emphasized that the implementation of Hakordia in open spaces such as those held in Gudeg City is intended so that the wider community can easily understand directly the anti-corruption messages that the KPK wants to convey.
In addition to providing anti-corruption education, he believes that the 2025 Hakordia series will contribute positively to the economy in Yogyakarta.
"In general, it is certain that the circulation of money, the economy here will benefit. Hopefully, support each other, everyone. We can carry out well, then the Special Region of Yogyakarta can benefit from this implementation," he said.
