Police Maritime Infrastructure Strengthened, Kaltara Police Chief Inaugurates Ditpolairud Pier

TANJUNG SELOR North Kalimantan Police Chief (Kaltara) Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Century, inaugurated the revitalization of the pier of the Polairud Directorate of the Kaltara Police and received a land grant from the Tarakan City Government to strengthen police operational facilities in the waters.

"The revitalization of this dock is part of the improvement of the operational facilities of Ditpolairud, to strengthen the readiness of marine patrols, the rapid response of personnel, and law enforcement in the waters of Kaltara," said Inspector General Djati, Friday, December 5.

The Kapolda emphasized that the improvement of this facility will have a direct impact on the Ditpolairud's ability to secure waterways that have a high level of vulnerability.

"The revitalization of the dock and the support of this land grant strengthens the Ditpolairud's ability to expand the patrol range and improve the quality of handling crime in the waters," said Inspector General Djati.

He explained that the location for the development of the Ditpolairud Polda Kaltara facility was support from the Tarakan City Government (Pemkot) which handed over 15,000 square meters of land on Jalan Pelabuhan Ferry, Juwata Laut Village.

"This land grant will support strengthening the operational structure of the police in the maritime area and increasing the capacity of public services in the water security sector," he said.
