More Popular, Anti-Aging Treatment Is Now Also For Intimate Areas

JAKARTA - Aging not only affects the skin and face, but also the internal organs of the body, including the genital organs. This aging process can cause changes both in terms of shape and function.

In the medical field, especially aesthetics and anti-aging, attention to the health and appearance of intimate organs is increasing due to its impact on individual quality of life and well-being.

"Anti-aging medicine has two pillars, namely internal aging correction to keep the organs healthy, and external aging correction that focuses on appearance," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Tanuwidjaja, M. Biomed, President of ISAM when met at ICE BSD, Tangerang on Friday, December 5, 2025.

"Initially only the face became a concern, but now attention has also grown to parts of the body, including genitals," he continued.

In women, the ageing of genitals is often characterized by the susceptibility of the feminine organs. Improvements can be done through a non-scattering procedure using a combination of yarn technology and hyaluronic acid.

"Today at the AISWAM congress, a technology for the imposition of female organs that does not use surgery is introduced, with a combination of yarn and hyaluronic acid. The goal is to make the organs look young biologically and physiologically, even though the chronological age increases," explained Dr. Teguh.

Whereas in men, genital aging can affect the tightness and function of sexual organs. Improvements to anti-aging aesthetics are made to improve the function and appearance of these organs, continue to use temporary materials to minimize the risk of complications and ensure safe efficacy.

"In the male organs, when the aging changes, corrections are made to make the organs stronger and fulfill the elements of the corpse. The material chosen is temporary because science and research continue to grow," said Dr. Teguh.

Attention to aesthetics and anti-aging is not only for certain groups, but now it is getting wider. Since 2006, more than 14 thousand general practitioners and various specialists have added competence in the field of anti-aging aesthetics to meet the needs of the community.

"Esthetics and anti-aging are still needed by the community. In the past, it was considered only a monopoly of the upper class, but now all groups can be served," added Dr. Teguh.

The General Chairperson of PERDESTI, dr. Hendry Hartono, M.Kes., Est., added that all these efforts had positive goals.

"To ensure that Indonesian doctors have competencies that are equivalent to global standards, as well as provide protection to the community through ethical, safe, and medical practices," he said.

The implementation of 16th International Symposium & Workshop in Aesthetic Medicine (ISWAM) 2025 is an important milestone for aesthetic and anti-aging developments.

This year the franchise recorded a record of more than 200 international speakers attending, participation from 44 countries, and complete educational programs such as the Cadaver Dissection, Anatomy Lab, and Live Injection Demo.

ISAM as an international organization is now entering the era of the most progressive growth since its establishment. Through cooperation with PERDESTI, the Ministry of Health, and leading universities in Indonesia, ISAM ensures that the transfer of knowledge and competence of aesthetic doctors is more equitable, so that service standards in Indonesia are equivalent to the global level.

In addition, this event also introduced finalists Miss Aesthetic International 2025. The meritorious event took place at Nusantara Hall, ICE BSD Tangerang on December 6, 2025 at 19.00 WIB.
