Persib Kontra Borneo FC At GBLA, Police Deploy 1,900 Security Personnel

JAKARTA - The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) deployed 1,900 personnel to secure the BRI Super League competition between Persib Bandung and Borneo FC at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Friday, December 5 at 19.00 WIB.

The total security for Persib's match against Borneo FC will number around 1,900 personnel. The goal is that the match can be safe, orderly, and comfortable for spectators who are present at the stadium," said Head of Operations for the Bandung Police, AKBP Asep Saepudin in Bandung, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

Asep said there are three blocking points that will be applied to filter spectators who will enter the stadium area, namely in Babakan Sayang, Rancanumpang, and Cimencerang.

Furthermore, the spectators were invited to enter the stadium area and another inspection was carried out when they entered the stands in anticipation of unwanted things when the match was running.

If there are supporters who don't have tickets, we will turn them around. We make sure those who enter GBLA are those who have official tickets," he said.

In addition, the police are also engineering the flow of traffic in the area leading to the GBLA Stadium so that the spectators and tourists who will lead to the Alkohr Mosque can be decomposed.

"We will also carry out sterilization along Jalan Gedebage so that the area around the stadium is sterile from vehicles, considering that there are trains that pass every 15'20 minutes," he said.

He said personnel began to be deployed at 14.00 WIB to carry out initial screening at these points before the supporters were directed to the entrance to the stadium.

In addition to security around the stadium, the Bandung Polrestabes has also prepared personnel in ticket exchange areas such as at Kircon, precisely in the TNI's area which previously caused congestion.

"Traffic engineering on Jalan Soekarno Hatta is flexible, we know it's a national road, in Gedebage we will carry out mitigation," said Asep.
