Russia-India Negotiate Supply Of Sukhoi Su-30 Components

JAKARTA - Moscow and New Delhi are negotiating component supplies for the Sukhoi Su-30 multi-role fighter aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force.

"Since the Soviet era until now, we have traditionally improved our fighter line. In particular, the Indian Air Force currently has Su-30 fighter aircraft that are still operating, which require the next modernization round. We are currently having a dialogue on this issue," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov told TV channel Zvezda reported by TASS, Friday, December 5.

Regarding the delivery of advanced systems, according to Manturov, Russia will assess India's interest, as the Russian side is willing to supply them.

In addition, Moscow is also interested in obtaining industrial components from New Delhi, as India has advanced high-tech manufacturing industries.

"So, when we put forward requests and orders for the production of spare parts, assembly, and components here, we are always sure we will receive quality goods at competitive prices," said Manturov.
