BI Records Primary Money Grows To IDR 2,136.2 Trillion In November 2025

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded that the position of primary money (M0) Adjusted in November 2025 grew 13.3 percent (yoy), continuing growth in the previous month by 14.4 percent (yoy) so that it was recorded at IDR 2,136.2 trillion.

Executive Director of the BI Communication Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, explained that this development was influenced by the growth of commercial bank demand at Bank Indonesia by 24.2 percent (yoy) and cash distributed by 13.1 percent (yoy).

"Based on the factors that influence it, M0 Adjusted growth has taken into account the impact of providing liquidity incentives (adjusted monetary control)," he said in his official statement, Friday, December 5.

Previously, Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded economic liquidity or money circulating in a broad sense (M2) in October 2025 was recorded at Rp9,783.1 trillion or grew 7.7 percent year on year (yoy), or lower than the growth in the previous month of 8.0 percent (yoy).

Denny said the development was driven by the narrow money supply (M1) growth of 11.0 percent (yoy) and quasi money of 5.5 percent (yoy).

"The development of the M2 in October 2025 was influenced by net foreign assets, lending, and net bills to the Central Government (Pempus)," he said in his statement, Friday, November 21.

Denny conveyed that credit disbursement in October 2025 grew 6.9 percent (yoy), or lower than credit growth in the previous month of 7.2 percent (yoy).

According to Ramdan, the net bill to the Pempus in October 2025 grew by 5.4 percent (yoy), after September 2025 grew by 6.5 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, net foreign assets in October 2025 grew by 10.4 percent (yoy), continuing growth in September 2025 by 12.6 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, credit is given only in the form of Loans (Loans), and does not include financial instruments combined with loans, such as securities (Debt Securities), acceptance bills (Banker's Acceptances), and Repo Bills.

In addition, the credit provided does not include credit provided by the offices of commercial banks domiciled abroad, and loans disbursed to the Central Government and Non-Population.
