In Line With Asta Cita, The Ministry Of Home Affairs Fully Supports The First National Human Rights Musrenbang In Indonesia
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), Bima Arya Sugiarto, expressed the full support of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) for the plan of the Ministry of Human Rights (Kemenham) to hold a National Human Rights Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang HAM).
Bima Arya assessed that this activity was crucial to ensure national development that was truly human rights-based.
"Of course the Ministry of Home Affairs supports that. We are ready (if invited to fill in the material)," Bima said, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, November 5, 2025.
The former Mayor of Bogor believes that the National Human Rights Musrenbang is in line with Asta Cita echoed by President Prabowo Subianto, so that it must receive special attention from all levels of government.
"Yes, this is part of Asta Cita, which is mandatory in nature, it must be of concern not only for the central government but also for regional heads," he said.

Bima Arya reminded that the local government is an extension of the central government and is the spearhead of fulfilling the basic rights of citizens. Therefore, the local government is encouraged to implement human rights values in every aspect of development.
"Because this regional head is the spearhead of fulfilling the basic rights of residents, so regional heads must be able to understand that (human rights values)," he said.
Milestone History Of Human Rights Development
The National Human Rights Musrenbang which will be held from Monday (8/12) to Wednesday (10/12) is the first step in Indonesia. The Minister of Human Rights, Natalius Pigai, called it an important milestone in human rights development as an intangible asset.
"So far, there has been a national development deliberation, now there is another National Human Rights Musrenbang which has been officially carried out by the government of the Republic of Indonesia. This is one of the most important milestones," said Pigai.
Pigai believes this activity is part of a national strategic plan and a follow-up to the mandate of Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo which places the human rights aspect in the first point of its program. This musrenbang will formulate steps to mainstream human rights in national development in order to achieve Indonesia's target of leading the world by 2045.
