This Is The Location For Change Of Free Motorcycle Oil For Sumatra Flood Victims

JAKARTA PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) shows its concern for flood-affected communities in North Sumatra and West Sumatra through the Sumatra Care program. The assistance provided was in the form of changing free motorcycle oil and food packages for residents who were at a number of flood and landslide locations.

The assistance is intended to help meet basic needs while at the same time restoring community mobility after the disaster. As a form of direct support, PTPL opens free oil replacement services in partner workshop networks until December 5, 2025.

In addition, the company also distributed 105 empty drums and 10 bulk containers (IBC) intermediate to facilitate the distribution of fuel to areas that were difficult to access by heavy vehicles due to the interruption of transportation routes.

"Hopefully the free oil replacement service and basic food assistance from Pertamina Lubricants can ease the burden a little during this difficult time. We will continue to assist the community until conditions gradually recover," said PT Pertamina Lubricants President Director Sigit Pranowo, in his official statement, Friday, December 5.

PTPL also provides support to partner workshops and distributors in affected areas in the form of basic necessities and home cleaning staff as a form of the company's ongoing concern.

Meanwhile, Pertamina's Technical Specialist Lubricants Tri Purwanto, gave tips to motors that were flooded. According to him, oil mixed with water must be drained immediately or patched to remove the remaining water before being filled with new oil.

He also appealed to motorcycle owners to check the fuel and busy rooms, check the gear oil on automatic motors, ensure that the air and exhaust filters are completely dry, and check the electrical system to prevent short circuits.
