Preventing Tumpang Tindih Distribution, Aceh Disaster Command Post Suggests Central Fundraising Report
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Aceh Hydrometeorological Emergency Response Command Post, Murthalamuddin hopes that the fundraising posts made by various organizations and institutions can report to the main post, so that the assistance distributed does not overlap.
"We appreciate the concern of all parties in raising various aids to ease the burden on people affected by floods and landslides, but it would be nice to also report it to the main post, so that aid is distributed to all regions," he told the media crew at the Media Center Command Post, Banda Aceh, Thursday, confiscated by Antara.
He explained that reporting is not to complicate or add bureaucracy, but to ensure distribution does not overlap.
According to him, with this report, the command post can direct assistance to locations that need it the most.
The post may suggest where and what the target is. There are no special permits. Just report it so that the team at the post can convey it to the relevant areas," he said.

In addition, Murthalamuddin also said that volunteers who want to go to the affected areas can also report to the Disaster Risk Reduction Forum (PRB) which is on the 3rd floor of the Aceh Governor's Office.
"This Forum holds regional data that have received assistance as well as those that are still lacking, so that it can direct volunteers and distribute aid such as food, medicines, clothing, and other needs appropriately," he said.
He also said that those who want to distribute aid can also coordinate with the posts at Ulee Lheeu Port and also Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base so that the assistance can also be distributed by air and sea.
