Victims Lost Due To Disasters In North Sumatra Increased To 205 People

The Center for Disaster Management Operations Control (Pusdalops PB) of North Sumatra noted that the number of missing victims due to natural disasters that hit the province increased to 205 people.

Based on data from the North Sumatra PB Pusdalops as of Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 17.00 WIB received in Medan, the number of missing victims increased by 38 people from the previous 167 people.

PusdalopsPB recorded that 205 people who were still declared missing were spread across five regencies/cities, namely North Tapanuli Regency as many as 14 people, Central Tapanuli Regency 112 people, South Tapanuli Regency 33 people, Sibolga City 45 people, and Humbang Hasundutan Regency one person.

Head of the Emergency, Equipment and Logistics Handling Division of the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati said the report was temporary data received by the North Sumatra PB Pusdalops.

"The data is an update on December 4, 2025 at 17.00 WIB," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

He said various efforts to deal with the disaster incident had been carried out by each region and a number of related policy makers.

"For developments on the disaster, it will continue to be informed including the data," he said.

PusdalopsPB recorded 17 districts/cities in North Sumatra affected by floods and landslides.
